You deserve custom visuals that reflect your science, are accurate, engaging, and built to get people interested.
And you shouldn’t have to settle or spend your valuable time making it yourself.
Because stock images don’t tell your story, and “good enough” isn’t cutting it anymore.

How often do you settle for visuals that are just okay–
but not exciting, not great, and definitely not doing your science justice?
Let’s change that!
“aha” moment
I love untangling complex visual problems and finding that
where it all clicks into place.
With a collaborative and efficient process, I turn complex science into clear, accurate, and engaging visuals you can be excited about.
As a certified medical illustrator, my expertise is translating complex topics into visuals that work, whether I’ve illustrated that specific subject before or not.
Every project starts with thorough research, so you can be confident that the final product is accurate and aligned with your goals. I prioritized ensuring your science is correct, your message is clear, and your audience gets it.
MEET THE ARTIST
HI, I’M ALEXANDRA–
AND I’M HERE TO TURN YOUR MOST COMPLEX IDEAS INTO VISUALS THAT MAKE PEOPLE SAY, “OH, NOW I GET IT.”
I’m OBSESSED
with making complicated science make sense.
There’s a balance between incorporating all the important information and making it look nice. Your science is important, and you should feel confident handing it off to someone who will understand it and accurately represent it.
That’s why I take the time to understand every project and look at it from all angles–so I can best capture your story.
Your super abstract concept? I’ve got ideas.
Difficult layout restrictions? Let me do some tetrising.
No idea where to start? Let’s chat.

I have an MFA in medical illustration from the Rochester Institute of Technology, which emphasizes visual problem solving to determine the best approach to communicate difficult concepts.
With 5 years of molecular biology and genetics research experience and a Bachelor’s in biological science from Cornell University, I know how to dig into unfamiliar topics and figure them out.
WHY I KNOW WHAT I’M DOING
Besides drawing for as long as I can remember,
and always finding science topics fascinating, here are some reasons you can trust me with your project.
I’m a board-certified medical illustrator, so I’ve proven my skills and knowledge to meet high professional standards and am committed to accuracy, quality, and clear communication.
I have years of experience working with pharmaceutical companies, healthcare providers, researchers, and other professionals to translate complex scientific concepts into clear, engaging visuals.

WHY YOU NEED ME
Too many scientific visuals require a detailed walkthrough to make sense.
your visuals should make communication easier, not add to your workload.
If you’ve been frustrated trying to explain your science with visuals that are too generic, too confusing, or just not quite right, I’m here to help.
I work with professionals who have important work to share, but don’t have the time, tools, or headspace to turn it into visuals that connect.
Whether you’re publishing, presenting, fundraising, educating, or all of the above, I’ll help you communicate your science in a way that actually works–clearly, confidently, and accurately.
BASICALLY
I’d love to create visuals for you that elevate your scientific message.

MY MISSION
To help medical and scientific professionals communicate complex science through clear, engaging visuals that inform, inspire, and increase impact.

CORE VALUES
I believe clear communication starts with getting the science right. That’s why accuracy isn’t optional–it’s foundational. When visuals are accurate, they build trust, credibility, and real understanding.
Approaching each project with curiosity and originality to make scientific stories stand out. I believe creativity is about solving visual problems in clever, new, and unexpected ways.
Great visuals are never accidental. I believe that every line, color, and choice is purposeful, tailored to resonate with your audience, and communicates the right message.
THE FUN FACTS YOU DIDN’T KNOW YOU WANTED
1
I’m one of those people who can’t walk past a bookstore without going in “just to look”–and then somehow leaving with three new books.
2
I named my Dalmatian Jack, after my favorite book character. He’s curious, stubborn, and always thinking, which feels pretty on brand. And yes, I’ve heard every 101 Dalmatian joke there is.
3
“The Office” is my go-to comfort show. I’ve watched it more times than I can count, and it still makes me laugh out loud.
4
There’s something about old maps I find endlessly fascinating. Even if they’re wildly inaccurate, they feel like pieces of art and I never get tired of looking at them.
5
I’m kind of obsessed with jellyfish; they’re mesmerizing to watch. There are so many different kinds, and always one of my favorite things to see at aquariums.
